Battle For Lou Fest 2011 Part Two:

This is a show review from Saturday, May 21st at Off Broadway, published on the STL Music Press site HERE. Man, it is great to see such enthusiasm in these younger musicians, I just wish that I would’ve been exposed to stuff like this when I was first starting out. Good for them, though, the six winners really get a great opportunity for some really good exposure.

Vendetta Sonata 1 yr. anniversary, new music being released w/ my review of it:

Vendetta Sonata celebrates their first year as a band this Memorial Day week end. The event will take place at 2720 Cherokee. Isaac James, Never My Silence & Corvus on Sat., 5/17:

May 16th-17th was busy. I covered three shows in those two days for the STL Music Press. The third one, which was my second one that Saturday, was at the Old Rock House. It was Dewy Crain’s birthday celebration. He was reaching a milestone and a few of the other members in Isaac James and Never My Silence both had birthday’s around the same time. Lou Fest “Battle Of The Bands” Pt. 1

Off Broadway held the first installment of the Lou Fest “Battle Of The Bands” on Saturday, May 7th. Six high school age acts took the stage to take part in the event. Butcher Holler & Earl show review:

Friday, May 6th I went to the newly updated 10 Mile House to catch up with Butcher Holler and the new line up of Earl. I have been meaning to see Jamey’s band live from some time now. I felt fortunate and honored to be given the chance to interview one of my favorite artists, Klayton of Celldweller, he is Celldweller! I have followed him ever since Circle Of Dust was released and have always really enjoyed his music and have had the pleasure of seeing him perform numerous times in his many phases. Senses Fail review from Fubar on Sun. March 13th, plus a featurette on the band Transit:

I went to Fubar for the Senses Fail show and wrote a review of the show that can be read right HERE. I also saw it fitting to do a smaller featurette on the band Transit, that can be read HERE. It was my first time seeing both bands live and I am particularly impressed with Senses Fail, but Transit was good too, hope you enjoy.

Warner Drive at Fubar, March 9th of 2011

I went down to Fubar after band practice, got to see most of the other bands on the bill, I hadn’t seen Warner Drive yet and have heard really good things about their music and live show. Fubar’s sound was sounding real good, I am glad they have worked through the trials and tribulations of working in that space. They have upgraded their equipment numerous times since it’s inception and it is no wonder why they were recently voted the best all ages venue in the Riverfront Times.
